Why, Oh why do we have holidays?

Arrived at East Midlands airport on Monday evening, bang on time. No complaints at all about the Turkish airline... Oh except that half an hour before boarding in Dalaman I got a text warning us about the bombing in Istanbul. Just what you want to hear!! So thoughtful about it, that it wasn't until I was on board, that I realised I was still carrying the bag that we were going to dump - containing 2x2 litre bottles of coke, an aerasol spray, pens and pencils - all things resolutly removed from us at East Midlands.

By the way Dalaman airport - starve there! Imagine this.... ""Bottle of becks and a small wine please"" (click click, weeerrre buzz) ""that will be £13.78"" !! needless to say the bottle of becks and small wine remain languishing on the bar..

Still, I digress. Back on time, and even into the office Tuesday for 07:45, all set to clear my desk, then a phone call - ""had I got the details of the customer visit to Hove today??"" nothing in my diary, so into the car and a dash down to the South Coast. it's Wednesday evening now, and I still haven't got as far as finding my desk, let alone sorting out K2, or emptying the car full of stuff from the house visit over a week ago!!

OK, Andy has given up reaching the Bristol channel on the K&A, having seen enough locks for a lifetime! Here's a thought then, strap one of these onto your roof!!

It's Sun, sea and mountains in western Turkey for me!
So much to do I could spend all week on the water, but the first day was spent asleep! Probably a lot to do with a total night lost in flying and transferring and the 2 hour difference.
Andy is back mobile again, so whilst it took me 15 minutes at 547 miles an hour to go from East Midlands to Oxford, it will take Andy all week at 3 miles an hour, and you can follow the progress of both.....
